PRESIDENT'S LETTER
The Best Is Still Unwritten
IN MANY WAYS, real estate is built on that same foundation. While our work may centre on homes, the motivation behind it is always about the people who live within them. Homes mark beginnings and endings, moments of growth and seasons of change. They hold the quiet moments, as well as the milestones. They are where life unfolds—chapter by chapter.
That belief has always guided how we approach our work at Heaps Estrin, and it’s also what inspired, and continues to inspire, BEYOND. Now in its seventh edition, this magazine has become one of our favourite ways to connect with our community. Not to focus on listings or market share, but to tell the broader stories of the city we love and the people who shape it.
We often refer to BEYOND as a kind of brand ambassador, because it reflects what matters most to us. It’s a lifestyle publication about and written for those who share our deep appreciation for Toronto: its neighbourhoods, its creativity, its diversity and its constant evolution. Our hope is that when you turn these pages, you see a little of yourself reflected back.
In this issue, we explore the arrival of the Toronto Tempo and what it signals for the city’s avid sports culture, we take a thoughtful look at what navigating divorce entails, and examine how meaningful, curated design can bring depth and intention to our living spaces. We also shine a light on one of Toronto’s most beloved neighbourhoods, the Annex, and the character that continues to define it.
Homes mark beginnings and endings, moments of growth and seasons of change.
But we’re keeping a close eye on the market, too. While conditions continue to evolve, one thing remains constant: Toronto’s resilience. The pace may shift, and the headlines may change, but the desire to put down roots, build community, and invest in the future remains as strong as ever.
At its heart, this magazine—and our work more broadly—is about storytelling. About the moments that move us forward, the homes that hold them, and the new chapters still waiting to be written.
We hope you enjoy this issue of BEYOND, and that it leaves you inspired for what lies ahead.
